The text on the front page is simulated output from the finger command, which gives information about a user on a UNIX-like system.

Normally, "On Since" is how long you've been logged into a machine. Obviously, I haven't been logged in for over a decade. In this case, September 15th, 1990, is the first day I ever laid eyes on the Internet, from a dumb terminal connected to a VAX 11/780 running Ultrix. Those were the days...

Not the good old days, by any shot, though. This was back before the web existed, in the Dark Ages of mail, telnet, and ftp. How far we've come in just over a decade.
